The CBI Programming and Social Action Committees are pleased to announce the beginning of a year-long speaker series on “Jews, Race, and Justice.” To kick off the series, we will be hosting Professor Marc Dollinger, who holds an endowed research chair in Jewish Studies and Social Responsibility at San Francisco State University and has written and spoken extensively on the topic. His lecture on “Jews and the Civil Rights Movement” and a Q&A will be held on Zoom, July 1, at 7 p.m. (link forthcoming). You can read more about him HERE.
We are also arranging for several book study sessions later in the summer on Dollinger’s book, Black Power, Jewish Politics: Reinventing the Alliance in the 1960s, for which you will be able to purchase his book at cost. Look for more information over the next few weeks, and mark your calendar for July 1!
